How can we help you?
For GD Compressors, quality and efficiency is just as important for compressed air treatment as it is for compressed air generation.
With the cost of electricity being so high, any technology which can reduce the amount of power needed by the air dryer is essential. Gardner Denver has developed a range of different dryer technologies, refrigerant, sub freezing and absorption (or desiccant) dryers as shown on this page which can give energy savings depending on the process the air is serving.
Our range of cycling dryers shut off the refrigerant compressor during low loads, which dramatically reduces energy consumption as shown in this graph. Using environmentally-friendly R513A, R407C refrigerants with the lowest Global Warming Potential, also contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Gardner Denver, the leading compressed air brand, has launched its latest refrigerant dryer range, helping ensure compressed air systems remain reliable and energy efficient throughout their working life.
Fulfilling a vital role in a compressed air system, a refrigerant dryer cools the compressed air to allow water vapour to condense and then be separated. Clean and dry compressed air helps make sure a system is never compromised. Furthermore, with many modern production systems and processes demanding high quality compressed air, in accordance with the air quality classes defined in ISO8573-1:2010, refrigerant dryers have a critical role to play in achieving this. This is true for all manufacturers, where production uptime is critical for profitable and trouble-free operations. Companies will often need to adhere to strict compressed air guidelines and legislation, and therefore cannot afford to deal with corrosion and its impact on efficiency levels in air distribution systems, as well as the potential contamination of goods on production lines. To meet this need, Gardner Denver has launched its new GDD refrigerant dryer range. Offering air flow rates of to 384 m3/min, the range has been designed to ensure consistent dew points at all times, no matter the load level.
The GDDF-series of refrigeration air dryers has been designed to maximise efficiency and reliability. All models are equipped with a high efficiency heat exchanger including an integrated condensate separator. The heat exchangers, completely designed and developed in our labs, are capable of achieving the highest levels of performance required from the market, together with a very low pressure drop rate.
Innovative Control Panel
With all the main functions you would expect to control and monitor the unit:
The programmable electronic drain valve is a standard feature (up to GDD80F) and is fully adjustable to help minimise air loss.
The powerful no loss electronic drain is standard from GDD100 and above, optional on all other models, and eliminates the need for pre-setting the unit. It uses state of-the-art software combined with a special transducer interface to measure the presence of condensate so that it is released only when needed. Continuous monitoring ensures fast and effective discharge of the condensate with no deficit of compressed air.
